CBI arrests IAS Pankaj Agarwal in Haryana govt funds misappropriation case

CHANDIGARH: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday arrested IAS officer Pankaj Agarwal, who was serving as principal secretary of Haryana's school education and agriculture departments, in connection with the alleged misappropriation of government funds from accounts maintained by two state bodies at a private bank branch in Chandigarh.According to news agency ANI, the case pertains to the alleged diversion of funds from accounts of the Haryana School Shiksha Pariyojna Parishad (HSSPP) and the Haryana State Agriculture Marketing Board (HSAMB) maintained with IDFC First Bank's Sector 32 branch in Chandigarh.The CBI said he will be produced before court today.
