The Delhi government has launched the registration process for the Common Entrance Test (CET-2025) under the Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Vidya Shakti Mission, officials announced on Friday.
The initiative is aimed at providing free coaching to government school students preparing for top competitive examinations.According to a circular issued by the Directorate of Education (DoE), the entrance test will be conducted between October 12 and October 26, 2025 at government schools across Delhi. Coaching will be offered for examinations such as the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE – Main and Advanced), National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), Chartered Accountancy (CA) Foundation, and the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduates (CUET-UG).
CET 2025: Key details of the scheme
Here are the major details of the coaching scheme under CET 2025:
- Seats available: A total of 2,200 seats will be offered across various courses.
- Female reservation: 50 seats each are reserved for girls in JEE, NEET, CLAT, and CA Foundation. For CUET, 1,000 seats are available, with 150 reserved for girls.
- Coaching support: Empanelled institutions in Delhi will provide the training, covering course fees, study materials, and test papers.
CET 2025: Eligibility criteria
Students from Class 11 of Delhi government schools are eligible to apply for JEE, NEET, CLAT, and CA Foundation, while Class 12 students from all streams can register for CUET (UG).
CET 2025: Registration process
The registration window will remain open from September 11 to September 30, 2025. Each student can register for only one course, and no changes will be permitted after registration. Admit cards will be issued two days before the scheduled test, while the Directorate of Education (DoE) will generate roll numbers and allot examination centres five days prior to the exam.Candidates who qualify through the entrance test will be invited for counselling sessions, where they can select their preferred coaching institute from the empanelled list.(with PTI inputs)
