Chaitra Navratri 2026: Puja Rituals

1. Devotees take a holy bath before starting any puja rituals. 2. Its very important to clean your home and puja room before welcoming the Goddess. 3. Devotees should take a wooden plank where they can place an idol of Goddess Durga. 4. Place a kalash filled with water and keep a coconut on that and do ghatsthapana during shubh muhurat. 5. Light a diya with desi ghee and adorn the goddess with garland, offer fruits and dry fruits, meetha paan, supari, laung, elaichi. 6. Offer at least 7 shringar items to Maa Durga. 7. Invoke the Goddess by chanting various Durga mata mantra. 8. Recite Durga saptashati path and Durga chalisa to appease the Goddess. 9. In the evening also, one must perform puja to the Goddess and offer bhog prasad daily. 10. After offering bhog prasad, devotees can break their fast by having sattvik food.
