Chandrababu Naidu calls Tirupati laddu adulteration case 'mahapapam'

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has termed the Tirupati Devastanam laddu adulteration case as mahapapam (huge sin). The Chief Minister also described the case as an organised plot and conspiracy. The issue concerns alleged adulteration in 59.71 lakh kilograms of ghee used in the Tirupati Devastanam Prasadam during the YSRCC regime. The Chief Minister has questioned how YSRCC party leaders and the party chief were unaware of the massive adulteration involving thousands of laddus distributed to devotees. He raised concerns about procurement processes, including how tenders for ghee were awarded, rules governing lorries and vehicles used, and the finalisation of contracts with companies now under investigation.
