A Miami man, father of three, has successfully sold his longtime family home in less than a week without hiring a real estate agent, relying instead almost entirely on ChatGPT.

Robert Levine, a Miami resident, turned the sale of his house into a real-world experiment to see whether AI could manage the key steps of a residential property deal from beginning to end.

“I really wanted to challenge myself to use AI for the entire journey, not just piecemeal," Levine told NBC Miami. “Every step along the way."

Rather than bringing in a broker, Levine leaned on the chatbot to help map out a selling strategy, set an asking price and shape how the home would be presented to buyers.

ChatGPT also highlighted specific upgrades it predicted would offer the strongest return on investment, including repainting select rooms, and laid out a step-by-step timeline to guide the listing process.

“We repainted a couple of rooms in the house because ChatGPT said that’s where you’re going to get the biggest return on investment," Levine said.

Within days of following the AI-generated plan, the family home was off the market, underscoring how tools like ChatGPT are beginning to play a hands-on role in major financial decisions traditionally handled by professionals.
