Cheating case registered against ex-YSRCP MLC in East Godavari

Police on Monday registered two cheating cases against former YSRCP MLC Meka Seshubabu in connection with the construction and administration of a rice mill under the Gopalapuram police limits in East Godavari district.

According to an official release, Maintena Yellaji Rao, proprietor of Sai Engineering Works lodged a complaint, alleging that Mr. Seshubabu had been threatening him after he sought payment of ₹50 lakh for constructing Mr. Seshubabu's rice mill. Based on the complaint, a cheating case (No. 93/2026) has been registered. Investigation is on.
