A Chinese court has ordered the death penalty for a former city official for accepting bribes worth more than 2.2bn yuan ($325m; £243m) over 30 years.
The convict, identified as Yang Youlin, had served in various positions in Nanjing city from 1993 to 2023. Youlin was also found guilty of embezzlement, abuse of power and money laundering, with his ill-gotten gains amounting to one of the highest in recent years, BBC reported.
