Chinese singer Liu Yu Ning issues statement against dating rumors with manager; Calls them ‘baseless’ anf ‘disgusting’

Liu Yu Ning, singer, actor and the leader of the popular K-Pop group Modern Brother has found himself at the centre of a dating controversy. Since his official debut in the industry in 2018, he has made headlines time and time again over various things.

Liu Yu Ning under fire for dating rumors with manager

Recently, rumors and speculations had been shared online about how Liu Yu Ning and his manager seem to be together and “more than just friends”. The star has been a part of dating rumors left and right, though the recent one led the idol to issue a prompt statement. He held a live stream where he clarified that there is no such thing going on between him and his manager of more than 10 years.

He also stated that, “My manager has been married for ten years. Her husband often helps me out—even drives me around sometimes—though he isn’t part of the team. How can someone so kind to me be turned into the subject of such baseless rumor? And worse, people actually believe it. It’s disgusting”.Earlier in August, he had been photographed by netizens while he was in public with his co-star Zhu Xu Dan. At the time, both his company as well as the actress’s company had issued their own statement, denying all allegations of the two of them.

Before that, some outlets had reported that he had been with someone in 2012, close enough to get married to them. After the speculation got out of hand at the time, the actor took over his social media and shared that the rumors are in fact true, and that he divorced his partner in December 2023.
