HYDERABAD
TPCC media chairman Sama Ram Mohan Reddy has slammed BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao for his comments on the Congress government and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy regarding the Medigadda barrage and irrigation projects. He called KTR a “weekly politician” who shows up only once a week.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday, Mr. Ram Mohan said that KTR’s recent comments were not just irresponsible but also reflected his deteriorating mental state. “I hope other leaders within BRS take note of this and counsel him accordingly,” he said, criticising KTR for his demand for a debate in Medigadda.
“The Chief Minister has already made it clear that since Congress and BRS have elected legislators, debates on major issues like Godavari water, Krishna water, and massive corruption in last 10 years should be held transparently, legally, and in front of people, inside the Legislative Assembly. He also promised to allot ample time for the Opposition during the debates. However, KTR continues to insist that debates be held at Medigadda or elsewhere. People are now saying he should be sent not to Medigadda but to Erragadda mental hospital,” he said.
He suggested that KTR stop paying his social media team for just a month to understand his real worth. “KTR, I suggest you get your numbers straight. And when the Assembly is convened, come there — bring your father KCR and every MLA who won along with you. Let’s debate transparently, in front of the people,” the Congress leader added.
