CM to lay foundation stone for logistics park in Kalamassery

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to lay the foundation stone for Adani Logistics Park in Kalamassery on Saturday (August 23, 2025).

Adani Group will invest around ₹600 crore in the first phase to develop the park on a 70-acre site near the HMT industrial area. The project was showcased at the State government’s Invest Kerala Global Summit in February.

Minister for Industries P. Rajeeve said that the project will generate several job opportunities. The facility will feature integrated logistics services, and the park’s design incorporates modern technology and systems to ensure sustainable development.

“The project aims to enhance exports in e-commerce, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods [FMCG], pharmaceuticals, automobile and retail sectors. It will include EV charging stations, digital integration, and smart logistics solutions,” he added.

According to the release, Adani Group had announced investments of about ₹30,000 crore at the investment summit, including the future development of Vizhinjam Port and the international airport in Thiruvananthapuram. Construction work on nearly 94 projects presented at the event has already begun.
