CM Yogi Hears Grievances Of Around 200 People At Janata Darshan In Gorakhpur

Earlier in the day, the chief minister visited the Gorakhnath Temple and offered prayers at the shrine of Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath and his guru, Mahant Avaidyanath.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday heard grievances from around 200 people during a Janata Darshan programme held at the Gorakhnath Temple premises in Gorakhpur and directed officials to ensure timely resolution of their complaints.

The public interaction programme was held outside Digvijay Nath Smriti Bhawan, where people from different districts of the state submitted complaints related to administrative, police and revenue matters.

According to officials, the chief minister personally interacted with those present and instructed district administration and police officials to address genuine grievances fairly and within a stipulated timeframe.

During the programme, Yogi Adityanath emphasised prompt disposal of revenue-related complaints and warned against negligence in handling such cases. He directed officials to ensure that complainants receive timely justice and said any laxity in resolving public grievances would not be tolerated.

Several people also approached the chief minister seeking financial assistance for medical treatment. He assured them that the government would extend support to eligible beneficiaries and directed officials to facilitate the issuance of Ayushman cards to those entitled under the scheme.

Officials said assistance could also be provided through government welfare mechanisms, including discretionary funds, in deserving cases.

Earlier in the day, the chief minister visited the Gorakhnath Temple and offered prayers at the shrine of Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath and his guru, Mahant Avaidyanath.

He later visited the temple’s gaushala, where he fed cows jaggery and rotis as part of a traditional ritual observed during his visits to the temple.

During his interaction with visitors at the temple premises, Yogi Adityanath also met children accompanying their families, spoke to them about their studies and distributed chocolates. Similar interactions took place during the Janata Darshan programme, where the chief minister encouraged children to focus on their education and work towards their future goals.

Officials said the Janata Darshan programme is part of the government’s ongoing effort to directly engage with citizens and monitor the resolution of public grievances.
