Coalition government encouraging sportspersons: SAAP

Andhra Pradesh will be transformed into a sporting hub, said Ravi Naidu, chairperson of the Sports Authority of AP (SAAP) during his visit to P. Anand Indoor Stadium in Ongole on Wednesday (December 17).

Addressing the media on the occasion, he said: “Telugu Desam Party-led government had brought a sports policy and gave great importance to sports in the State during its previous term 2014-18. However, the subsequent government neglected the sports sector.”

Mr. Naidu said 3% reservation has been provided to sportspersons in government jobs, and employment is being given without any tests. He said nearly 421 sportspersons in the State were given jobs in the recently conducted Mega DSC.
