BJP State president P.V.N. Madhav has asserted that the coalition NDA government in Andhra Pradesh will fulfill its mandate, with due focus on maintaining a fine balance between welfare and development, and is not averse to making the necessary course corrections, lest the people should lose confidence in it.

In a chit chat with print media journalists here on Wednesday, Mr. Madhav noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was extending all support to the State and wanted it to be mindful of the limited time at its disposal to implement what had been promised at the time of elections.

Mr. Madhav said the country was making rapid strides under Mr. Modi’s leadership, and it had a tremendous impact on Andhra Pradesh. This was evident from the manner in which the State recovered to a large extent from the misdeeds of the previous YSRCP government.

While Mr. Modi extended the desired hand-holding (to AP), Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu managed to undo the damage that had been done by the YSRCP, one step at a time. Mr. Madhav expressed confidence that the State would undergo an unprecedented change in the remaining four years, as the TDP, BJP, and Jana Sena Party were making sincere efforts to achieve the purpose of their alliance.

The alliance was ridiculed by the YSRCP and some other parties for obvious reasons when it was forged, but the three ruling parties had set that mockery apart and were glued to the task on hand, which was to make Andhra Pradesh a progressive State, wherein a fair bit of success was achieved in the one year that passed by.

‘Public response positive’

The State BJP chief further said the response to the coalition government’s style of functioning was evoking positive response from the public, but it was not taking things lightly as admiration could within no time turn into disenchantment if the parties failed to keep their promises.

Therefore, the BJP, TDP and JSP were leaving no stone unturned to live up to the people’s expectations and gave priority to creating employment opportunities, which was one of the basic things for any political party to do. To achieve this, emphasis had been laid on attracting investments and the results were there for everyone to see.

On the political front, Mr. Madhav said, while following the coalition dharma, the BJP was building the organisational strength required to singly take on its rivals in the future.

Adoni MLA Valmiki Parthasarathi, BJP State general secretary S. Dayakar Reddy, secretary N. Ramesh Naidu, NTR District president A. Sriram, and party leaders U. Srinivas Raju and M. Venkata Subbaiah was present.
