The 26-year-old reator was allegedly pushed to his death from Lohagad Fort by his fiance and her alleged lover, Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary, respectively, on June 18.
Speaking at a candlelight march organised at Belmondo Society in Gahunje on the outskirts of Pune, Ketan’s father, said that several people had witnessed the incident or the moments before and after it but had not yet approached the police. “I have just one appeal. My 26-year-old son was killed for no apparent reason—a reason that remains unknown to this day. My child was not at fault in any way. I had set out to arrange his marriage and bring a daughter-in-law into the family. I never imagined I would lose my child instead. So, I appeal to everyone to ensure that he gets justice and that his killers receive the death sentence. I am completely satisfied with their efforts. I am grateful to everyone supporting me, and I hope you will continue to stand by me until the accused are punished," Vishal Agarwal said as quoted by news agency ANI.

During the march, Ketan’s grandfather, Devichand Agarwal, broke down while remembering his grandson and said the family had been “betrayed by our own people." He demanded the strictest punishment for the accused and called for a thorough investigation into everyone connected with the marriage.
Ketan’s mother also demanded capital punishment for the accused duo and sought action against Siya’s family members. Another relative questioned why Siya had not raised objections to the marriage before the engagement if she did not wish to marry Ketan.
What’s The Case?
According to police, Ketan Agarwal was allegedly pushed off a cliff at Lohagad Fort by his fiancée, Siya Goyal, and her boyfriend, Chetan Chaudhary. Investigators claim the two conspired to kill him because Siya did not want to go ahead marrying Ketan. The couple had got engaged in February and were scheduled to marry later this year.
Investigators learnt that Siya and Ketan, who got engaged in February, were scheduled to marry later this year. Their wedding was planned in Udaipur in November, and a palace had already been booked for the ceremony.
During questioning, police asked Chetan why the couple had not chosen to run away together.
According to investigators, he replied that Siya did not want to break off the engagement and elope because she believed it would bring disrespect to her family.
Police believe the conspiracy was finalised on June 16 and 17. Investigators allege that Goyal took Agarwal to Lohagad Fort on the pretext of celebrating her birthday, while Chaudhary had already reached the location and was waiting nearby.
Police said the investigation has found that Siya and Chetan allegedly exchanged signals before Ketan was pushed from the fort. Investigators have seized Chetan Chaudhary’s mobile phone and will send it for forensic examination to determine whether any chats or digital evidence were deleted.
Police have also ruled out reports claiming that Ketan’s hair patch or wig was among the main motives behind the alleged murder.
The family said it would continue its fight for justice while thanking Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for assuring a speedy trial and appointing senior advocate Ujjwal Nikam as the public prosecutor in the case.
