Complaint filed over alleged misuse of official insignia by retired DGP

A day after former Director General of Police (DGP) Tomin J. Thachankary reportedly arrived at the Vigilance Court in Kottayam in a vehicle bearing a three-star insignia plate, a complaint has been lodged with the police seeking an investigation into the incident.

Activist Kulathur Jaisingh has filed a complaint at the Kottayam West police station and with the State Police Chief. In it, he has called for an inquiry into whether a retired officer has improperly used a vehicle displaying official insignia reserved for serving DGP and ADGP rank officers.
