Compounder found dead on clinic rooftop in Saran

Patna: A 28-year-old compounder, allegedly having a disagreement with his girlfriend, found hanging with gamchha (scarf) on the rooftop of a private clinic in Saran district on Wednesday.

The incident occurred at a private clinic in the Town police station area. He posted a suicide note on his Facebook account.The deceased has been identified as Kanhaiya Singh (28), a resident of Kateya village in Gopalganj. Kanhaiya had been working at the clinic for the last 3 years.In the suicide note, an appeal was made to local MLA Amrendra Kumar Pandey alias Pappu Pandey to protect his father. Meanwhile, his girlfriend said that the two had a fight before the suicide.

Kanhaiya Kumar wrote in his suicide note, "My dear parents, please forgive me, I am not well. That is why I am leaving this world. May everyone get parents like you. There are Rs 1.9 lakh deposited in my bank account. I have no debt on me. I request my maternal uncle to take care of them. I seek protection for my parents from our MLA Amrendra Kumar Pandey ji. Our local MLA ji is very kind."Cops said that Kanhaiya’s family lives in Gopalganj. He used to live at the clinic itself. Before the suicide, his girlfriend called on the clinic's number. She told them that there was a dispute between the two over some matter and he was not picking up her calls.Town SHO Sanjeev Kumar Mishra said, “An unnatural death case has been registered in the matter. Currently, the police are investigating the matter from all angles.”
