Comedian Conan O’Brien has made a surprising promise after a conversation with former NFL star Jason Kelce. During a recent episode of the New Heights podcast, O’Brien agreed to take part in one of the most famous traditions among Buffalo Bills fans.

If everything goes as planned, the longtime TV host says he will jump through a flaming table at a Buffalo Bills home game in 2026.The idea came up while O’Brien was speaking with Jason Kelce and Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce on their podcast. Jason Kelce, who has become a fan favorite among Bills supporters, invited the comedian to Buffalo for the full “Bills Mafia” experience. O’Brien quickly leaned into the idea, joking that he would go through with the stunt as long as a doctor was present to give him a pain-relief injection before the jump.

The unusual plan started when Jason Kelce explained how passionate Buffalo Bills fans can be during their famous tailgate parties. Bills supporters, often called the Bills Mafia, are known for energetic celebrations outside the stadium. One of their most famous traditions involves fans jumping off vehicles or platforms and crashing through folding tables. While speaking on the New Heights podcast, Kelce invited O’Brien to experience that culture in person.

“We would be honored to host you to the Bills Mafia. Buffalo, New York,” Jason Kelce told the comedian during the episode. Kelce then jokingly described how the experience might unfold.“We’re going to inject you with Toradol and we’re going to send you through a flaming table. I think you’d be very excited for this,” he said.Toradol is a pain-relief medication sometimes used in sports medicine. NFL players have occasionally used it to manage pain during games.

After hearing about the drug’s effects, O’Brien seemed fascinated and quickly agreed to the challenge.“Okay, I’m there. Guys, I’m not kidding. I will promise you this right now on the air,” O’Brien said during the conversation. “I’ll meet you anywhere, anytime. I want a professional doctor to inject me with Toradol and then I will jump through something. I promise you. This is not a bit. I think that would be so much fun.”The 62-year-old comedian even joked about what might happen afterward. “This is going to happen. We’re going to shoot it. There’s going to be video. It’s going to go viral and then you guys can come visit me in the hospital,” O’Brien said. The timing of the plan could make the stunt even more memorable. The Buffalo Bills are scheduled to open their new stadium in 2026, which means the event could happen during the team’s first season in the new venue.Travis Kelce also mentioned that his Kansas City Chiefs are expected to play in Buffalo next season, adding another layer of excitement to the possible visit.Jason Kelce already has a strong connection with Buffalo fans. In October 2024, he joined Bills supporters outside the stadium before a game against the New York Jets. During that appearance, he wore a Fred Flintstone costume with a Bills helmet while celebrating with fans. For O’Brien, the stunt would be far from his usual stage. The comedian spent nearly three decades hosting late-night television before launching his podcast Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend in 2018.For now, the flaming table jump remains just a promise. But if it happens, it could easily become one of the wildest moments involving the Bills Mafia.
