Union Home Minister Amit Shah, on Thursday, launched a fresh salvo at the Congress party, accusing it of sidelining tribal issues. “Congress comes here to fight elections, but has never spoken about tribal people. PM Modi made Draupadi Murmu ji President of India", he said.

Shah was addressing a public gathering in Assam’s Goalpara, as the state heads into the crucial assembly elections 2026.

He asserted confidence in the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA)’s win in the Assam assembly polls, saying the state has decided to re-elect the government to protect its culture.

“We will throw each and every infiltrator from assam", Shah vowed.
