Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday lashed out at the Congress for continuing to rely on Pakistan-related issues to attack India. He said that Rahul Gandhi’s party and its allies have fallen prey to Pakistan’s disinformation campaign against India and its Army, effectively becoming their spokespersons.

"Today’s India is filled with self-confidence and 'Aatmanirbharta' (self-reliance) and is progressing at great speed. But the country is also witnessing a contrast — while India moves rapidly towards self-reliance, the Congress continues to depend on issues related to Pakistan. Unfortunately, Congress is importing issues from Pakistan," PM Modi said.

PM Modi maintained that India had clarified its stance from the beginning — that its actions during Operation Sindoor were "non-escalatory" in nature and aimed solely at Pakistan's terror infrastructure. "That is why we stopped," he said.

He further clarified that no world leaders had asked India to stop Operation Sindoor, as the House erupted in cheers.

He said that he was in talks with military officials on the night of May 9 when U.S. Vice President JD Vance called him. After noticing around four missed calls, he said he returned the call to Vance.

PM Modi said that Vance warned him that Pakistan was planning to attack India, to which he responded, "Our response will be even stronger."

Then, I told him, "Hum goli ke jawab gola se denge."

PM Modi said that following this, India destroyed much of Pakistan’s military infrastructure. "Now, Pakistan knows that every response from India is stronger than the one before," he added.
