Hyderabad: Expressing concern over deletion of voters during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) being taken up by the Election Commission of India (ECI), Telangana Congress working president T Jagga Reddy said the ECI would function with full autonomy and independently only if Rahul Gandhi becomes the Prime Minister. He alleged that deletion of votes in some states helped the BJP to come to power in some states.Speaking at a meeting of booth level agents (BLA) on SIR in Sangareddy on Wednesday, Jagga Reddy said Rahul Gandhi is fighting both inside the Parliament and outside on SIR on behalf of the people.“Manipulation of votes can be stopped only if Rahul becomes Prime Minister. All the 282 BLAs, in-charges, and key leaders should stay alert during the SIR which is beginning on June 25. It is your responsibility to ensure protection for the voters,” Jagga Reddy told the workers.TGIIC chairperson Nirmala Jagga Reddy, Medak LS incharge Preetam and others were present.
