McGregor's Miami sexual assault lawsuit was dropped after the accuser withdrew her case. He remains suspended for missed drug tests but could return for UFC's White House event.

Conor McGregor is no longer facing a civil lawsuit in the United States over an allegation of sexual assault at an NBA game, after the woman who accused him voluntarily withdrew her case.
The accuser — described in filings as a 49-year-old Wall Street executive — had alleged that McGregor assaulted her in a restroom during the 2023 NBA Finals Game 4 in Miami, where the UFC star was appearing as part of a promotional deal.
McGregor, 37, consistently denied the accusation, and prosecutors had already declined to pursue criminal charges. On Tuesday, her lawyers filed notice in a Florida court to dismiss the case.
According to the original lawsuit, the woman encountered McGregor in the arena’s VIP section before being led to a men’s restroom by one of his associates. There, she claimed, the fighter assaulted her in a bathroom stall. McGregor’s camp repeatedly rejected the allegations as false and insisted he had done nothing wrong.
This isn’t the only legal battle McGregor has faced over such claims. Last year in Ireland, he was found liable in a separate civil sexual assault case and ordered to pay roughly $250,000 in damages to a woman who accused him of rape — a judgment he also disputed.
McGregor’s public image took another hit last month when he was handed an 18-month suspension for missing three drug tests within a year. The punishment was retroactively dated to September 2024, meaning he’ll be eligible to return as soon as March.
That timeline clears a path for him to potentially appear at the UFC’s scheduled June 14 event at the White House, timed to coincide with President Donald Trump’s birthday.
Even with the Miami lawsuit now dropped, McGregor remains a polarizing figure — still one of the UFC’s biggest names, still embroiled in headlines far beyond the cage, and still carrying legal and disciplinary baggage as he eyes a return to competition.
