In the videos, McGregor can be seen landing heavy blows that some viewers described as “brutal” and “unnecessary.”

Social media users reacted sharply, saying he was going too far against fighters who were there only to train. The criticism came just hours after McGregor shared a family picture with his long-time partner Dee Devlin, 38, and their four children, Conor Jr., Croia, Rian, and Mack. He captioned the post on Wednesday morning, August 27: “I have never been so at peace in my life as I am right now.”While some fans praised the family moment, others were quick to highlight the sharp contrast between his peaceful message and the violent training footage that followed.

The controversy over the sparring video comes at a time when McGregor is already in the headlines for legal and political reasons. The civil trial had ended in November 2024 when a jury found him responsible for the assault.Following the failed appeal, Hand has launched fresh legal action. In her latest filing, she accuses Conor McGregor and two others of abusing court processes and is seeking further damages. At the same time, Conor McGregor surprised many by posting on social media about wanting to run for president of Ireland. His political message, his court case, and now the sparring video have all combined to keep him at the center of public debate.
