Fresh developments have emerged in the alleged TCS Nashik sexual harassment and forced conversion case, with the family of one of the accused, Nida Khan, strongly denying all charges and calling the case politically motivated.

Nida Khan’s father dismissed the allegations, stating that his daughter, initially identified as the HR head of the TCS Nashik BPO unit, was being falsely implicated as part of a larger conspiracy, India TV reported.

He maintained that none of the accusations against her were true and suggested that the case had been fabricated to divert attention from other issues, including the controversy involving Nashik-based self-proclaimed godman Ashok Kharat, who was recently arrested in a rape case.

Other family members, including Nida Khan’s mother and uncle, also rejected the claims. They asserted that she had no interaction with the complainant who levelled the allegations. According to them, Nida is currently at her in-laws’ residence in Bhiwandi and is pregnant.

The family said the accusations have deeply disturbed them and insisted that she never pressured anyone to convert or made remarks about any religion, adding that they respect all faiths.

Meanwhile, police have detained Nida Khan’s husband for questioning in connection with the case, sources said. He reportedly told investigators that he was not aware of her alleged activities. The couple had been living in Mumbra for the past two months, while Nida had earlier stayed in Nashik and Bhiwandi.

The case itself has drawn widespread attention, with multiple complaints alleging that a group targeted young women employees aged between 18 and 25. So far, nine FIRs have been filed, including one by a male employee who claimed religious harassment and attempted conversion.

Allegations include abuse of Hindu deities, coercion to consume non-vegetarian food, and pressure to follow specific religious practices.

Police have arrested eight individuals in the case, seven men and one woman. The accused include Danish Sheikh, Tausif Attar, Raza Memon, Shahrukh Qureshi, Shafi Sheikh, Asif Aftab Ansar and Shahrukh Sheikh.

Investigators have alleged that some of them held senior roles and may have misused their positions to harass colleagues. An officer further claimed that Nida Khan discouraged a woman employee from filing a complaint, saying such “things happen."

Reacting to the developments, Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran described the allegations as “gravely concerning and distressing." He added that a detailed probe is underway, being led by TCS COO Arathi Subramanian, to establish the facts and determine accountability.
