Contractual employee dies at VISL Bhadravathi

A contractual employee of the Visvesvaraya Iron and Steel Plant (VISL) in Bhadravathi died after a cable snapped while billets were being unloaded on Monday (April 27) evening.

S. Vinod Kumar, 36, is survived by his wife and a daughter. He was overseeing the unloading of billets when the incident occurred. As the cable snapped, the falling billets struck him, leaving him critically injured.
