Couple from Hyderabad held for streaming steamy content online

A couple from Amberpet has been arrested by the Task Force Police of Hyderabad for allegedly streaming and selling obscene content online through a dating app.

The couple, aged 41 and 39, reportedly broadcast explicit videos from their home and charged people for access. The couple has two children, both of whom are pursuing their bachelor’s degrees. The Task Force team was tipped off about their activities and they were nabbed.

During the investigation, police found that the pair used cameras, live-streaming equipment, and digital platforms to run the operation. The content was distributed through an app to paying users. The police have booked cases under Section 67(a) of the IT Act (dissemination of sexually explicit content in electronic form) and Section 296 (obscene acts and songs) of the BNS Act and took the couple into custody. Further investigation is on to trace the buyers.
