Patna: CPI general secretary D Raja will inaugurate the five-day 25th state conference of the party on Monday. He will also address the open session of the conference on the same day.CPI national secretary and former MP Nagendra Nath Ojha said the conference comes at a crucial time as the party’s national convention is scheduled in Chandigarh from Sept 21 to 25. The national meet will outline the party’s assessment of both the international and national political situation and deliberate on strategies for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections in Oct-Nov.“Accordingly, such matters would also be discussed at the state conference of the Bihar CPI,” Ojha said.
He was accompanied by the party’s state secretary Ram Naresh Pandey and other senior functionaries, including Janaki Paswan and Karyanand Paswan, chairman of the reception committee for the state conference.Pandey added that issues related to the Bihar assembly elections and seat-sharing among the Grand Alliance partners will also be addressed.“The CPI has staked claim on 24 assembly seats. The party has been making preparations in these constituencies and also across the remaining 219 assembly constituencies to assist and strengthen the grand alliance,” Pandey said
