Crack on railway track disrupts local train services between Badlapur and Karjat

KALYAN: Train services on the down Central line between Badlapur and Karjat were briefly disrupted today morning after a crack developed on the railway track between Badlapur and Vangani railway station, causing inconvenience to daily commuters.According to Central Railway officials, the incident occurred around 7.40am at kilometer number 74/28, situated between Badlapur and Vangani railway stations. The issue came to light when the motorman of a local train noticed the crack and immediately reported it to the railway authorities.Following standard safety protocol, railway officials halted train movement on the affected down line and dispatched a technical team to the site. The repair work was swiftly carried out, and the damaged section was restored by 8.20am, within 40 minutes of detection.Commuters on this busy route experienced mild disruptions during peak morning hours, though up line services were reportedly unaffected.
