Crackdown on illegal hoardings, parking in Madhubani

Madhubani: Acting on directives issued during the urban development and housing department (UDHD) review meeting recently, municipal commissioner Umesh Kumar Bharti on Thursday ordered the removal of all illegal hoardings across the Madhubani Municipal Corporation area.

He directed those responsible to take them down within 24 hours, failing which the corporation will dismantle them and impose heavy penalties for non-compliance.Bharti also instructed officials to shut down all unauthorised parking operations, stressing that such “mafia-like activities” cause major revenue loss and will no longer be tolerated. “Any individual or group found involved in such practices will face severe legal consequences,” he said.The commissioner added that this is a firm and decisive step toward protecting govt revenue and improving urban order and discipline in the city. He instructed officials to carry out the drive without leniency and to review progress daily.
