An IndiGo flight from Kolkata to Shillong received a bomb threat on Saturday morning, prompting authorities to enforce security protocols and conduct thorough checks. The threat, written on a piece of paper, was discovered by a crew member onboard the aircraft.

In a statement, IndiGo said a “security threat was noticed onboard IndiGo flight 6E 7304 operating from Kolkata to Shillong on 14 February 2026.” The airline said it immediately informed the relevant authorities in accordance with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and is fully cooperating with them to conduct necessary security checks.

According to the Airport Director of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, a bomb scare was reported on the IndiGo flight scheduled to depart at 9:15 am from Kolkata to Shillong.

The aircraft was immediately moved to an isolation bay after a crew member found a note inside the aircraft’s lavatory claiming that a bomb had been placed onboard. Passengers were deboarded as a precautionary measure following the discovery.
