Ranchi: Eateries, shopping malls and pubs across the state capital will screen the high-octane clash between India and Pakistan in the ongoing T20 World Cup on Sunday. However, public viewing will remain banned in the city due to the model code of conduct which is in effect for the Feb 23 civic body polls.
With Sunday being Shivratri, authorities will also remain on high alert to maintain law and order.Keshav Singh, an event management professional, said he will watch the game with friends at the Country Cricket Club at the JSCA International Stadium."Our group of 11 friends will watch the match at stadium's club cum restaurant over food and drinks, sitting outdoors. The place gives a feel of being in the stadium," he said. However, many will prefer to watch the game indoors. Subodh Singh, another fan, said he will spend the night at home with family. “Sunday being Shivratri, there will be vegetarian food on the platter. But that will not dim the excitement around the game,” he said.
