CHRO Madhuri Mehta outlines company’s commitment to inclusion through leadership programs, livelihood initiatives and road safety engagement

NEW DELHI (India CSR): As the world marks International Women’s Day 2026, Hero MotoCorp has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing women’s empowerment through a combination of leadership development, livelihood programs and road safety initiatives.

The company says its approach goes beyond symbolic celebrations and focuses on creating long-term opportunities for women within the organization and across communities.

Madhuri Mehta, Chief Human Resources Officer at Hero MotoCorp, emphasized that women’s empowerment is embedded in the company’s workplace culture and social initiatives.

“At Hero MotoCorp, Women’s Day is not a moment we celebrate once a year, it is a commitment we act on every day. We believe it is about enabling equal participation, opportunity and safety,” she said.

Focus on Women Leadership and Workforce Inclusion

Hero MotoCorp has been working to build a strong pipeline of women leaders within the organization through its Women in Leadership (WIL) programme.

The initiative aims to nurture talent, provide mentorship and create pathways for women to grow into leadership roles across the company’s global workforce.

According to Madhuri Mehta, such structured programs are critical for ensuring that women have access to equal opportunities and career advancement.

“From nurturing women leaders across our workforce through our Women in Leadership (WIL) program to championing inclusive mobility through #SheRides or livelihood initiatives such as Project Jeevika, we view women’s empowerment as a holistic and impact-driven effort,” she noted.

Promoting Inclusive Mobility Through #SheRides

Beyond workplace inclusion, Hero MotoCorp is promoting mobility as a tool for empowerment.

Through the #SheRides initiative, the company encourages women to embrace two-wheel mobility as a symbol of independence and confidence. Access to safe mobility can significantly enhance women’s participation in education, employment and entrepreneurship.

The initiative reflects the company’s broader belief that transport access and confidence on the road are key enablers of women’s empowerment.

Livelihood Support Through Project Jeevika

Hero MotoCorp is also supporting community empowerment through Project Jeevika, a livelihood initiative aimed at enabling women to build sustainable income opportunities.

Such programs focus on skill development, entrepreneurship support and community engagement, helping women achieve financial independence while contributing to local economic development.

These efforts align with the company’s CSR philosophy of creating long-term social impact rather than short-term interventions.

Ride Safe India Initiative Expands Women-Focused Road Safety

For International Women’s Day 2026, Hero MotoCorp is extending its impact through the Ride Safe India initiative, focusing on inclusive road safety.

The company plans to organize a women’s night rally and awareness sessions designed to promote confidence and responsible riding practices.

“Under our Ride Safe India initiative, we are driving inclusive road safety by organizing a women’s night rally and awareness sessions that encourage confidence, respect and responsibility on the road,” Mehta said.

The initiative aims to create safer roads while empowering women riders to navigate public spaces with confidence.

Month-Long Engagements Focused on Women’s Wellness

Hero MotoCorp will also host a month-long series of activities celebrating women across its ecosystem.

These engagements will focus on financial, physical and mental wellness, covering a wide range of topics such as:

  • Financial literacy
  • Creative expression
  • Self-defence and personal safety
  • Holistic well-being

The programs are designed to strengthen women’s capabilities while fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace environment.

‘Give to Gain’ Theme Encourages Dialogue and Inspiration

The company’s Women’s Day initiatives are inspired by the “Give to Gain” theme, which encourages collaboration, dialogue and mutual learning.

Hero MotoCorp plans to organize forums where employees can interact with inspiring voices and thought leaders, creating space for meaningful conversations about gender equality and empowerment.

“Inspired by the ‘Give to Gain’ theme, we will also be hosting forums for discussion with inspiring voices, creating space for dialogue while celebrating women across our ecosystem,” Mehta added.

A Long-Term Commitment to Empowerment

Hero MotoCorp’s initiatives reflect a growing corporate focus on inclusive workplaces and community empowerment.

By combining leadership programs, mobility access, livelihood support and road safety awareness, the company aims to create sustainable and measurable impact for women.

As organizations increasingly integrate diversity and inclusion into their core strategies, such initiatives highlight how businesses can play a vital role in advancing gender equality and social progress.
