CT mobile: Hitting the road in style

Kolkata, get ready to spot some serious street style – because Calcutta Times has hit the road with colour, imagination, and celebration. As part of our 25th anniversary, we’ve rolled out a special Calcutta Times car, aka CT Mobile wrapped in bright, expressive artwork that captures the essence of what makes this city – and its people – iconic.

The design draws inspiration from some of our most memorable stories over the years – tales of art, adda, music, nostalgia, and of course, the unmissable Kolkata spirit that’s been our muse since day one. Mudar Patherya, with his colleagues Sujay, Partho and Gopal, brought that idea to life.On Thursday, the CT Mobile took its first spin through the city, cruising past familiar streets and landmarks -and making quite the impression! Heads turned, phones came out, and there was no missing burst of colour and CT charm gliding through the afternoon traffic.

We curated the look for CT Mobile to highlight the newspaper’s role in the romance of the city. We called it Abhijan. My colleague Sujay designed it while Partho and Gopal completed it with the classic ‘chhabbeesh-e pocheesh’ line– Mudar Patherya, ‘Chief Craziness Officer’
