CUET UG exam dates 2026: Subject-wise datesheet expected soon as NTA prepares May examination schedule

CUET UG 2026 datesheet: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the subject-wise datesheet and examination schedule for the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026 shortly.

Candidates seeking admission to undergraduate programmes at central universities and other participating institutions will be able to check the schedule on the official website, cuet.nta.nic.in.The agency had earlier indicated tentative timelines for the examination in its annual calendar. However, applicants are awaiting the detailed schedule that will specify the examination dates and shifts for individual subjects.

The announcement will help candidates plan their preparations according to the timetable issued for each paper.Exam Schedule and Format of CBTAs per the present schedule of NTA, CUET UG 2026 is to be conducted from May 11 to 31, 2026. It is to be noted that the CUET UG 2026 examination is to be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) format only.The CUET UG 2026 examination is to be conducted in multiple shifts in a large number of examination centers located in various cities in India and in centers located outside India.

As a large number of applicants are to appear for the entrance examination, a detailed schedule is being prepared to organize the subjects in an efficient manner.Application and Correction of ApplicationsThe application process for CUET UG 2026 witnessed a large number of applications from students across India. The agency reopened the application portal multiple times to ensure that all eligible applicants complete their applications.Most recently, the agency has reopened the window for the final round of applications, which will be accepted from February 23 to 26, 2026.

Previously, the agency had given applicants the opportunity to make corrections in their forms, which was open from February 9 to 11.With the process of applying and making corrections complete, the agency has moved on to the next phase of the examination. This includes the allocation of examination centers and the issuance of roll numbers to the applicants.Advance City Slip and Admit CardFollowing the release of the datesheet, the agency will release the Exam City Intimation Slip.

This will be a separate document and will contain information regarding the city in which the examination center will be located.The release of the admit card will be done on the official website approximately three to four days prior to the beginning of the examination.The CUET UG will consist of various subjects, language, and general tests. The applicants are advised to keep an eye on the official website and download the datesheet for each subject individually.
