Cyberabad She Teams nab 51 for indecent acts during 137 decoy operations

The She Teams of Cyberabad Police conducted 137 decoy operations during the week, nabbing 51 individuals for acts of public indecency. While 50 petty cases were registered, one First Information Report (FIR) was lodged. Additionally, 19 complaints were received from women through various channels.

A total of 78 awareness programmes and five counselling sessions were carried out across the commissionerate.

In a parallel effort, the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) registered one case under the Immoral Traffic Prevention Act, 1986 and two cases of street prostitution in Kukatpally and KPHB. One victim was rescued, and two persons were arrested in a case. In another operation, six female sex workers, a transgender person, and three gay individuals were rescued.

The efforts were made as part of its weekly operations between June 23 and 28 by the Cyberabad Women and Children Safety Wing against public harassment and human trafficking.
