MYSURU: The cultural festival at the Mysuru Palace this year is set to enthral audiences with a lineup of celebrated performers from across the country starting from September 22.On the inaugural day, it will feature a Ghazal and Classical Fusion concert by Padma Shri awardee Hariharan and team. The fest will host a total of 14 musical evenings until September 29, showcasing a blend of classical, folk, and contemporary music. The major musical performances include the vibrant sounds of Thaikkudam Bridge Live, known for their unique Indian folk fusion, on September 23. On September 24, it will feature a Carnatic fusion instrumental concert by Sai Shiv Lakshmi Keshav and team, along with soulful folk music by Ananya Bhat and troupe. Music lovers can also look forward to the celebrated violin trio led by Mysore Manjunath on September 25, along with a sitar recital by Mohsin Khan and team, followed by a performance by the Police Band on September 26. The grandeur peaks again on September 27 with a sitar fusion concert by maestro Niladri Kumar and team. On September 28, popular playback singer Vijay Prakash will take centre stage with his ensemble, before the finale on September 29, featuring Indu Nagaraj and Lakshmi Nagaraj with their team.
Speaking about the preparations, ZP CEO S Ukesh Kumar, who also serves as the deputy special officer in charge of the Dasara cultural subcommittee, said the events are designed to draw music lovers. “We ensured the programmes are star-studded and appealing to diverse audiences,” he stated.
