Indore: Technical glitches in the services portal of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) have left several students struggling to apply for degrees, provisional degree certificates, migration certificates and transcripts.Students say the problems vary across programmes. In several cases, the course studied by the applicant is either missing from the drop-down list or replaced with an incorrect programme, making it impossible to proceed with the application. The issue has been reported by students from different departments, with Master of Journalism and Mass Communication (MJ) students among the worst affected as their course does not appear on the portal.PhD scholars have also reported a technical error. The application portal asks them to enter their roll number instead of enrolment number, even though the enrolment number is mandatory for processing degree-related applications. As a result, many research scholars have been unable to submit their applications.“I have been trying to apply for my degree for the last few days, but my course is not listed on the portal.
Every attempt ends at the same stage,” said Punit Verma, an MJ graduate.Another student, Roshini Wadhwa, seeking a transcript said, “The entire process is online now, but technical errors are wasting our time. Many of us need these documents urgently for admissions and job applications.”University officials admitted that technical issues have surfaced on the portal and said corrective measures are already underway.“We have received complaints regarding a few technical glitches in the online application portal. The software had been functioning smoothly earlier, but after these issues came to our notice, the technical team was instructed to rectify them immediately. The necessary updates will be carried out soon so that students can apply without any inconvenience,” DAVV assistant registrar Vishnu Mishra said.
