A day after shooting his resignation letter to Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge, Assam MP Pradyut Bordoloi joined BJP on Wednesday.
Bordoloi’s decision to leave the Congress came two days after the former Assam minister alleged that he had been “humiliated” in the party.
A letter signed by him resigning from the party surfaced on Tuesday night.
The chain of events comes as a major setback for Assam which is gearing up for Assembly elections scheduled next month.
