Defending champions Raipur Rhinos have secured their place in the Chhattisgarh Cricket Premier League (CCPL) Season 2 final following a convincing 9-wicket victory over Bilaspur Bulls in the semi-final match.
The game was played at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Nava Raipur on Saturday. Batting first, Bilaspur Bulls set a target of 140 runs for 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Harsh Sahu top-scored with 29 runs, while Shubham Maurya contributed 23. Gaurav Chaturvedi took two crucial wickets for the Rhinos. Raipur Rhinos chased down the target swiftly, reaching 142 for 1 in just 11.4 overs. The run chase was anchored by a strong 97-run opening partnership. Amit Kumar Yadav was the standout performer, smashing 65 runs off just 25 balls, which included 7 sixes and 4 boundaries. His explosive innings earned him both the Player of the Match and Super Sixes awards. Captain Amandeep Khare provided solid support, scoring a polished 51 runs. The Rhinos' emphatic win sets up an exciting final clash against the winner of the second semi-final between Bastar Bisons and Rajnandgaon Panthers.
