Delhi govt transfers 4 ministry secys among 60 officers

New Delhi: Delhi govt, which Thursday carried out a large-scale administrative shuffle, transferred four secretaries to various cabinet ministries along with 56 other IAS and DANICS cadre officials. The secretaries had served relatively short tenures before they were moved.Ankur Meshram (DANICS 2014) has been posted as secretary to social welfare minister Ravinder Singh Indraj. Vinay Kumar Jindal, who was the secretary to law minister Kapil Mishra, has been shifted to Delhi Jal Board, while Ranjeet Kumar Singh will take over the role. Health minister Pankaj Singh’s secretary, Vaibhav Rikhari, has been transferred to DJB too. Mukesh Rajora will replace him as secretary to the minister, who also handles transport and IT.

Rajesh Chaudhary has been appointed secretary to industries and environment minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa. He will replace Mohit Mishra.The services department’s orders said Bipul Pathak of the 1992 batch of the AGMUT cadre, who is the additional chief secretary of the social welfare department, has been given the additional charge of the women and child development department.Among senior-level changes, Navin Chaudhary (AGMUT 1994), currently additional chief secretary in the irrigation and flood control department, has been assigned additional responsibility of the general administration department after the release of Pandurang Pole, a 2004 batch IAS officer, from the post.

Pole will now serve as secretary of the land and building department, while also holding additional charge of the labour and cooperation departments.Sandeep Kumar Singh (AGMUT 2011), the special secretary in the CMO, has been given an additional responsibility as managing director of the Shahjahanabad Redevelopment Corporation.Sachin Rana (AGMUT 2014), the special secretary (home), will also oversee urban development as a special secretary and function as the principal director of Delhi Fire Services.Santosh Kumar Rai has been appointed special CEO of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority and will additionally serve as special secretary (home).The shuffle also affected district administrations. South West Delhi district magistrate Mekala Chaitanya Prasad has been moved as special secretary (health), while KK Lakshman has been posted as the district magistrate of South West Delhi.East Delhi district magistrate Anmol Srivastava has been appointed special commissioner (transport).Of the 60 officers transferred, 17 belong to the AGMUT IAS cadre, while the remaining 43 are from the DANICS cadre. The transfers take effect immediately.
