The national capital region is expected to witness more downpour on Wednesday as the heavy rain alert remains active, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The Lucknow Meteorological Centre has issued a heavy rainfall alert for several regions, including Noida and Ghaziabad.
According to the issued warnings, Gautam Buddh Nagar is likely to receive very heavy rainfall, while neighbouring Ghaziabad is expected to face intense showers accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.
In view of the heavy rain alerts, schools have been directed to remain closed on September 3 in Noida and Ghaziabad, according to district authorities.
