Delhi Police Special Cell arrests nine, seizes 23 sophisticated weapons including Zigana, Glock and PX pistols, smuggled by drones from Pakistan allegedly at ISI behest.

The Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested nine people and seized a cache of state-of-the-art weapons that were smuggled into India via drones allegedly at the behest of Pakistan’s intelligence agency.

According to officials, the Special Cell had a major success in a raid as a cache of state-of-the-art weapons that were smuggled into India via drones at the behest of ISI.

“The Special Cell has recovered Zigana, Glock, and PX pistols. About 23 sophisticated weapons have been recovered. The Special Cell has also recovered country-made weapons manufactured in Munger, Bihar," police said.

“This consignment of weapons, smuggled from Pakistan, was intended for supply to anti-social elements and notorious gangsters," they further said.

They added that nine accused have been arrested and investigation revealed that several of the accused were in direct contact with handlers based in Pakistan.
