NEW DELHI: Several schools in Delhi received hoax bomb threats on Friday morning, triggering a large-scale emergency response involving police, fire services and specialised bomb squads.This is the second such threat to be received within a week. Delhi Fire Service (DFS) received the first call at 9.13am regarding a threat at BD Tamil Education Association School in Jhandewalan. Soon after, Delhi Police teams were rushed to the location to carry out checks.Authorities said necessary security sweeps are being conducted on the school premises. Three schools in southwest Delhi have also reported receiving similar threats.
Police teams, along with bomb disposal squads and dog squads, have been deployed to the affected campuses as a precautionary measure.Officials said students were being moved to safe areas while thorough inspections of classrooms and other parts of the buildings were carried out. So far, no suspicious objects have been reported. Further details are awaited.On Monday, schools including Delhi Public School Rohini and SPV School had also received bomb threat emails, triggering similar precautionary checks across campuses.
