Delivery agent found dead in Gurgaon, body stuffed in trunk

Gurgaon: A 23-year-old delivery executive was found murdered, with his body stuffed inside an iron trunk in a slum in Sector 54, police said on Sunday.Aman was from Saharsa in Bihar and had been living in the area with his live-in partner.

The crime came to light after a foul smell began emanating from the shanty.Cops from Sector 53 police station reached the spot and recovered the body from the trunk. A preliminary examination found multiple deep injuries caused by a sharp-edged weapon. Investigators suspect the murder took place three to four days before the body was discovered.Aman’s elder brother, Umashankar, who lives in Chakkarpur, lodged a complaint. He told police that around 6pm on Sunday, he received a call from a woman who said her friend had killed Aman and concealed his body in the trunk.

After receiving the information, he rushed to the shanty jand informed cops.An FIR was registered. Police said Aman had been living in the area for the past one to one-and-a-half years.According to sources, police are questioning the woman, while teams are searching for another person believed to be involved in the incident. The mobile number used to make the call is also being analysed.“The body has been sent for post-mortem examination. Multiple injury marks have been found, indicating use of a sharp weapon. The exact cause of death will be ascertained after the autopsy,” a police officer said.Police said efforts are underway to find out the motive..
