NCP chief and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar was killed in an aircraft crash near Baramati, with preliminary inputs pointing to poor weather conditions as a key factor.

According to sources, the aircraft encountered extremely dense fog in Pune district and the Baramati region, which caused it to lose its course while flying through a hilly area before crashing into a rocky outcrop.
