A dense fog shrouded Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) on Friday morning, significantly reducing visibility and leading the Delhi airport to issue an advisory. The air quality of the capital, meanwhile, is on the brink of severe again, with the overall AQI recorded at 387, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). The AQI in as many as 14 of the 39 monitoring stations across Delhi is over 400, while most that are in the very poor zone are on the edge of severe category.

The fog has curtailed visibility in the Delhi-NCR, including Noida and Ghaziabad to below 100 metres.
