DHS transferred out

The Kerala government has issued orders transferring and posting Director of Health Services K.J. Reena as Director, Regional Public Health Laboratory, Ernakulam, “by temporarily upgrading the post of Senior Consultant to the level equivalent to that of DHS”.

The Additional Director of Health Services (Family Welfare), V. Meenakshy, has been given the full additional charge of the post of DHS, pending regular arrangements.

The government order issued on Friday (June 11, 2026) says that Dr. Reena had completed three years in service as the DHS and that the selection process for the appointment of a regular DHS is under the consideration of the government.

It also says that Dr. Reena had availed 15 days of leave during the epidemic period.

Dr. Reena is due to retire from service in April 2027.
