Dhurandhar 2 auto driver says he can’t afford Rs 500 ticket to watch his own scene with family: 'Rs 2,500 is our monthly savings'

Even as Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge continues its record-breaking run, a small, real-life moment linked to the film has gone viral for very different reasons.An auto-rickshaw driver, who appears briefly in the film’s final scene, has revealed that he hasn’t yet watched the Ranveer Singh starrer in theatres. In a candid interaction caught on camera, he was asked if he had seen the film.“I haven’t seen it yet. The tickets are around Rs 500, and as you know, it has only just been released, so I haven’t been able to watch it yet,” he told the reporter.

'We'll watch it later'

When asked if his children had insisted on watching the film, given his appearance in it, the driver shared a practical reality.“Yes, they did. But I told them that there are five of us, and it would cost Rs 2,500 in total. Rs 2,500 is what we manage to save in a month, so I didn’t take them.

I told them we will wait a bit and watch it later,” he said.His matter-of-fact response, without complaint or drama, has struck a chord online, with many calling it a reflection of everyday financial choices.
