Did Madhya Pradesh CM’s family benefit from ‘insider’ govt information in land deals?

A political slugfest has erupted between the Opposition and the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party over a media report alleging that Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s family had purchased several acres of land in Ujjain, much of it in areas expected to benefit from infrastructure projects announced by his government.
The Congress, on June 24, demanded a judicial probe led by a sitting Supreme Court judge into the allegations, a day after party leader Jairam Ramesh said in a Hindi post on X that under the BJP’s “double-engine” government in Madhya Pradesh, the “engine of plunder” is running at full steam.
