In a conversation with Movie Buzz, Tamizh revealed that during his early days as a cop, he once escorted a murder suspect to court.

While speaking to the accused during the journey, the man shared details about his relationship with his lover. This encounter later became the foundation of Sirai.In the film, the narrative revolves around a police officer attempting to reconcile the couple in court, while navigating the moral and legal challenges that arise. Tamizh admitted that in real life, he has no idea whether the accused and his girlfriend rekindled their relationship after he was granted bail.

He also mentioned that a few months later, he had forgotten about the case altogether after being reposted to Chennai, as even his colleagues had moved on.

Emotional performances bring the story to life

Vikram Prabhu, in an interview with the same platform, said that Sirai is among the saddest films he has worked on. “I like that my character has something morally meaningful to offer, but he’s also conflicted. It’s a very personal script. I’m excited about the OTT release so that more people can access the film.

I hope the story reaches audiences across all regions,” he said.The film highlights human values while portraying the pressures and moral dilemmas involved in upholding the system, making it an emotionally engaging watch.

L.K. Akshay Kumar makes an impact

Speaking about his role, L.K. Akshay Kumar said, “It was a huge challenge. The character cannot really be classified as ‘good’ or ‘bad’; he is shaped by circumstances and choices.
