'Didn't start war, but we're finishing it': US releases video of first 100 hours of Operation Epic Fury against Iran

US Central Command on Thursday released a video highlighting the first “100 Hours” of Operation Epic Fury as US and Israel continue military strikes against Iran.US and partner forces launched Operation Epic Fury with the stated goal of dismantling the Iranian regime’s security apparatus and targeting sites posing imminent threats.

The conflict entered its sixth day after US and Israeli strikes on Saturday killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other key figures, triggering retaliation from Tehran across the region.More than 1,000 people have been killed in Iran, more than 70 in Lebanon and around a dozen in Israel, according to officials. According to CENTCOM, the first four days of the operation included more than 2,000 strikes using over 2,000 precision munitions launched from air, land and sea.The command also said it has sunk more than 20 Iranian vessels and that Iranian drone launches have dropped 73 percent while ballistic missile launches have fallen 86 percent since the start of the operation. It added that US forces are expanding strikes deeper into Iranian airspace.In the video, officials describe the campaign as “the most lethal, most complex, and most precise aerial operation in history.”“Our military in the Middle East is undertaking an unprecedented operation to eliminate Iran’s ability to threaten Americans, as they’ve been doing for nearly half a century,” a narrator says.

“We didn’t start this war, but under President Trump, we are finishing it,” another voice says.“Combat operations continue at this time in full force, and they will continue until all of our objectives are achieved.”US Central Command on Wednesday also dismissed a series of Iranian claims about the conflict as “fake news,” saying the regime is spreading false reports about US losses. Iranian officials had claimed that US forces were withdrawing from the region, had lost fighter aircraft and a destroyer, and that 100 US Marines had been killed.“ALL LIES,” CENTCOM said.Meanwhile, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth is scheduled to visit US Central Command headquarters at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida, on Thursday for updates on the operation, the Pentagon said.During the visit, Hegseth is expected to meet with CENTCOM Commander Adm. Brad Cooper to receive the latest operational briefings on the ongoing campaign against Iran.US President Donald Trump said Wednesday that the United States is in a “very strong position now” in the war with Iran following a series of US and Israeli strikes targeting the country’s military capabilities.“We’re doing very well on the war front, to put it mildly,” Trump said, speaking from the White House's Indian Treaty Room. “Somebody said on a scale of 10, where would you rate it? I said about a 15.”Trump said the campaign has significantly degraded Iran’s missile arsenal.“Their missiles are being wiped out rapidly. Their launchers are being wiped out,” he said.Trump also said Iran had posed a threat to the United States and Israel for decades.“That was a tremendous threat to us for many years,” he said. “For 47 years they have been killing our people and killing people from all over the world.”“We’re in a very strong position now,” Trump added. “It’s a great display of military strength.”
